// MILAN PREVIEW

We are fortunate enough to have teamed up with our good friends over at Big Chief Design in Italy to do a small offsite event in Milan, featuring a display of our current products, an installation by Big Chief and some work be Jack Brandsma. We will also be unveiling our new colab clock with laser etched graphics of the "Big Chief" himself and a how it's made video (which you can watch below) All as part of design week in Milan!

// FURNI X RITA X REFORD GARDENS

We did this awesome installation for our good friends at Rita design studio as part of the "Canada Blooms" homeshow in Toronto, March 2009. The booth is for the client "Jardin des Metis/Reford Gardens" and is to promote their annual garden/show and festival. It took us three weeks to build, used close to 100 4' x 8' sheets of wood and I was trampled by kids after the show was opened, but it was well worth it.

// KEEP A BREAST

the fine folks over at lifetime are doing a campaign with the Keep a Breast foundation called "Breast Friends 4 Life" and I'm one of the 28 invited artists. This was an honour and a serious challenge for me as I (a) do not consider myself and artist and (b) not used to working outside of a computer or woodshop. All in all I am quite happy with what I came up with...in case you didn't know the shape of the piece is an actual life cast of a female upper body, I was given it merely as a white plaster mold...mine is called "A friend in need is a friend indeed"
